When I was younger I couldn’t get past the idea that Rose was a colour (and scent) for old ladies, and not in a good way, but as I have grown up I have come to love Rose more and more (so maybe it is something you love with age). I now find the scent relaxing and calming, especially in skin care and I am finding the colour more and more charming with everyday. Some of my favourite items in rose that I love are
Revlon Shimmer Brick ‘Rose Glow’
The only drugstore highlighter I own, this pink toned selection of shimmery powders is quite natural (besides the sometimes larger glitter particles) on the skin, especially paired with a rosy blush. I would only recommend using this as a cheek highlight as on other area’s of the face it may be a little to pink but in general this is a gorgeous product.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
A newer addition to my skin care, this facial spray is moisturising, refreshing and oh so nicely scented. I use this morning and night before any other products to soften my skin and prepare it for the day/night ahead.
TopShop Blush ‘Flush’
While I am not a huge fan of cream blushes the TopShop ones seem to be an oddity in the fact that they sort of work for me. The shade ‘Flush’ was the first I ever purchased and is the most natural shade in the whole collection while still being brightening to the face. The subtle rosy shade is perfect for any time of year.
Mac Lipstick ‘Impassioned’
This shade is not traditionally described as rosy, something more along the lines of a bright coral/red based pink, however on me this shade is the most rosy I can go. I have very fair, yellow toned skin so standard roses just don’t work. This shade really warms up the face and is a great all year rounder, although I particularly in spring.
