The typical Australian Spring is here, hot one day and torrential down pour the next, and during this topsy turby weather period you really have you force yourself to embrace the brightness that is on offer. Spring to me is an odd season to begin with, frankly it scares me because soon enough it will be scorching hot, blaaaah, however I am a pink lips kind of gal and what better time to lighten things up but spring. Lets get into the items.
Vera Wang ‘Lovestruck’ Perfume
An old love that is making a resurgence this spring, Lovestruck is described as ‘A sparkling fragrance that is young in spirit and yet still classic. It opens with notes of guava and angelica blossom. The middle notes bloom with tones of tuberose and lotus flower, followed by a base of woody notes and sheer musk.’ This is truly the only traditional Floral fragrance that I have so far fallen in love with. Normally I am more of a fruity/mature scented person but something about the lightness of the perfume that really makes me fell ready for the warmer months.
Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm ‘Unapologetic’
Bright Coral Lips, need I say more? I have been obsessed with the Matte and Lacquer Balms for the longest time and I am so happy it’s finally a little warmer and the shades I own are a little more seasonally appropriate now. The colour is defiantly the stand out feature of this product, its just so beautiful, I can’t get over it. I also really enjoy having a Matte lip product on days where my skin is a little more dewy, it just stops you looking like a disco ball.
Lovisa Triangle Necklace
If you watch my videos you will know I am a statement necklace kind of girl but sometimes you just want something a little more dainty. I have had this necklace for sometime now so I know this particular one is not available but similar things are available from almost anywhere. I love wearing this necklace with outfits that are a little more OTT, patterned or bright and use the simple gold to add a little elegance to the look.
Revlon Colourstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel ”
I am sure by now you are so sick of me talking about these nail polishes and trust me, I will be giving it a rest but this coraly pink shade with subtle gold shimmers throughout is so spring that I just had to mention it. I was never a pink person but this polish has swayed me and it is currently my most worn polish. This colour really does brighten up your hands and goes with any look, almost like a neutral would, spring time perfection.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Eye Shadow ‘Rio De Rose Gold’
The newest addition to my collection, this eyeshadow is certainly a one of a kind formulation. If you haven’t heard of these before they are basically a highly metallic, liquid eyeshadow. The shade I have is a true rose gold, unlike a lot of others that claim their shade is rose gold but really is just bronze so that is a winning point just there. The application is like nothing else I have used, completely liquid but very easy to blend. I think these shadows are perfect for the warmer months because they give you a very dewy look, perfect for the season. They are also super light reflecting and bring a lot of light to the face.
