Here we have two of the biggest beauty rivals of 2015, and a competition that will carry over into 2016 I am sure. With a huge amount of support from and endless list of Beauty Bloggers, Youtuber’s and Editors, the Urban Decay ‘Naked Skin Concealer’ really has become a product of the moment, but is it really a game changer that is has been made out to be be? Well the answer is Yes and also No. Lets have a quick overview.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer:
This is a medium coverage concealer with a very thin texture and a satin-matte finish. The coverage is very much medium, which I believe people often don’t expect. Basically this concealer is only really great for under the eyes to brighten and highlight the skin, it will not cover breakouts or hyper-pigmentation unless you want something very light. That being said the fact that the texture if very thin means no under eye creasing or falling into fine lines which is awesome. The colour I have Fair Neutral is nice and brightening on my fair skin and I do really enjoy using it when I really want bright under eyes.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer:
This is a medium-full coverage concealer which is very buildable, it has a very creamy texture which dry’s to a demi-matte finish. The coverage means it is awesome for under the eyes but it also works on different areas of the face. I alternate between the shade Chantilly and Vanilla depending on how bright I want my skin to be and if I have a tan at all and love them both. I find that this concealer does cover up skin discolouration and most blemishes as needed.
Personally I don’t think the two are very comparable and would say the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is more of an all rounder where are the Naked Skin is just a highlighting concealer. I do enjoy having both in my collection at the same time but find myself leaning towards my Nars more then the Urban Decay.
