For those who don’t know. Mecca is basically Sephora in Australia, and yes we do have Sephora now but as they don’t have the licensing for most of the brands Mecca is still a champion in the Australian Beauty scene. As well as being a retailer they followed in suit with Sephora and have their own brand of Skin care/Cosmetics/Nail Polish and today we are going to talk about the beauty of their Nail range.
I have used Mecca Nail Polishes for over eighteen months at this stage and hold them as one of my favourite polishes I have ever tried. The full, current range of polishes comprises of around twenty shades with collections of special edition colours coming out every year. I have around 10 of the standard range colour as well as a few limited edition shades, including the colour pictured which are from the __ collection from Holiday 2015.
Each polish is very rich and creamy in colour which a great amount of pigmentation. If I am using a block shade as a base for a glitter I will only use one coat, if I am doing a block colour for the whole look I will normally do a second just to get the surface looking perfect.
These polishes are incredibly fast drying making it really easy to do multiple coats if needed and to get your nails done super quickly on those busy days. The polish also lasts very well for me, I have weak, brittle nails and so not many nail polishes last more then 24 hours on me, which these ones do. I can usually get around three days out of my nails with a good top coat which is awesome. The only other polishes that last a similar amount of time are the Revlon Gel Nail Polishes which are my ride or die.
These are not the most affordable polishes on the market retailing for $22.00AUD, but totally worth it if you are looking for a great polish.
