If you haven’t already gathered I have a slight obsession with sunglasses, they are my weakness. Recently I really wanted to invest in a nice pair of ‘designer’ sunglasses and have something a little more special in my wardrobe.
I decided on the ever beautiful and classic style of the Karen Walker ‘Super Duper’ sunglasses in the tortoise shell finish.
The glasses come in a lovely baby blue hard case with the classic Karen Walker arrow along the top which is a great detail. Inside the case you find a matching microfibre cloth which is a circle, a nice change from the standard square shape. Again the the gold foil print on the cloth is a nice touch.
The glasses them selves are a round shape with very slight corners on the outer edge. The frames are quite thick, however the arms are not so thick as to give me a headache, which is very important for me as someone with a rather large head. The glasses sit out just far enough as to not rub too much on the cheeks or nose while still covering the eyes completely.
The tortoise shell colouring is dark enough as to create a great division between the glasses and the skin but not to dark where they look harsh. The lenses are a brown-green finish which is a nice change, however the green is not to bright as to make the colour look odd on the skin.
I am obsessed with these glasses and would highly recommend them to anyone!
