As I am sure most of you have noticed, the online beauty retail community have been going crazy over sales recently and when they offer a sneaky 20%+ I cannot say no! This has become a slight issue of late, but to make a positive out of some serious spending I wanted to share some of my purchases with you. Most of the purchases will be featured in something very exciting, stay tuned for the next few days to find out exactly what is happening, but when you are #feelingspendy it is easy to get waylaid and pick up a few extra bits for yourself!
Beauty Bay is a site I have a massive Love-Hate relationship with, I love their products, I love the prices, I love the sales and I love the shopping experience, what I don’t love though is the Delivery Times, and the sometimes not so great Customer Service, just a little pre-shopping warning for you all. I had to wait over two weeks to receive this package and unfortunately their are two things missing from the box that I am still waiting on! Now the negative part is out of the way lets get into the things I picked up and have been loving.
Firstly I finally picked up the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream after what feels like years of hearing about this skin care staple I thought I should give it a go. I will be using this cream as a day cream as I love just as much hydration during the day as I do at night. I have not tried this yet because skin care does go off and I have a few creams on the go at the moment but you can expect to hear some feedback in the not to distant future.
Next up I had to dabble in the Dose of Colours Liquid Lipsticks! I must admit I am well and truly caught up in the Matte Lips fad, but I am very weary about which brands I try and give my money to, lets be real, a lot of the Social Media brands are selling underwhelming products for a rather high profit margin. I had been hearing about the amazing quality of the Dose of Colours lipsticks for such a long time, and after Stephanie Nicole rating them so highly I figured why not. I am so, so happy with my decision, This lipstick has knocked my Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks into second place and I currently have 3 more in the post. I picked up the shade ‘Coral Crush’ which is a bright, almost slightly fluorescent Coral that is to die for! I am so impressed with the formula which has a Matte look but a Satin feel which lasts all day long!
Then I wanted to add a few more MakeUp Geek shadows to my collection as these are a my favourite eyeshadow formula ever! I also ordered another Z Palette to put them in but as that is one of the items that has not shown up I have displayed them in an older palette. I picked up Six in total, three Foiled shadows in ‘Starry Eyed’, ‘Magic Act’ and ‘Flame Thrower’ and three Mattes in ‘Cocoa Bear’, ‘Sidekick’ and ‘Cabin Fever’. I love every single one of them, I have been using all six in my daily rotation, along with my other MakeUp Geek shadows.
Finally I received two Mario Badescu smaples, one of the Alpha Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion, and old favourite gentle exfoliator of mine and the AHA Botanical Wash which I am yet to try! Thank you so much for reading, I hope this gave you some shopping ideas and the mini reviews were helpful!
